Thread Lift

BOOK TREATMENT

How It Works

A thread lift is a non-surgical lifting procedure for the brow, cheeks, jowls, or neck. It is a perfect option for those not quite ready for a facelift or those that have early signs of aging. This procedure is performed by inserting dissolvable sutures via a cannula underneath the surface of the skin. Once in the skin the threads are manipulated in such a way as to lift the skin, pulling it upwards and backwards, to hold the skin in place.

Thread lifts may be the newest nonsurgical treatment in the world of aesthetics, but the sutures used in this procedure have been around for decades and have been used in many surgical procedures.

Thread lifts are extremely versatile in what they can do:

  • Eyebrow lift
  • Lift saggy cheeks
  • Lift smile lines
  • Smoker’s lines
  • Tighten Jawline or lift jowls
  • Lip border definition
  • Tighten the neck

Thread lift results are instant and will continue to improve for 4-6 weeks after the treatment as collagen is stimulated. As healing occurs after a thread lift, the sutures that were inserted stimulate collagen and elastin production, thus improving skin quality and firmness in these areas.

FAQ's

  • How long does the Procedure take?

A thread lift treatment takes approximately one hour.

  • Does it hurt?

A local anesthetic is used to numb the areas the threads will be inserted. Once this has taken effect, the procedure will begin. There may be a sensation of pulling or pressure during the procedure, but the overall pain is minimal.

  • How long do Thread Lift treatments last?

Thread lift treatments have varying durations, they are naturally absorbed by the body and excreted. Even after the threads have dissolved, results continue to be seen as collagen growth in the area has been stimulated and tissue healing has taken place. The results depend on the area being treated and the number of threads used. Collagen stimulating treatments using smooth threads in areas like smokers line and under eyes typically last 6 months. Treatments using lifting threads to lift the cheeks or sharpen the jawline typically last 12-18 months.

  • The Procedure!

Thread Lifts are a non-surgical procedure that take about 45 minutes. After a discussion about your goals, markings are made to plan your lift. A small amount of local anesthesia is injected to make you comfortable, then a needle is used to place the threads and suspension cones underneath your skin. The tissues are then lifted into the ideal rejuvenated position. You will notice a lift instantly and increased collagen production over the next few weeks to months.

Immediately after the procedure you may have minor discomfort, for which you can take Tylenol. There may be minimal swelling or bruising for 2-3 days, for which Arnica (available at most pharmacies) can help speed up the recovery.
