Pricing at Allura Medical Aesthetics & Surgery depends on the procedure, its complexity and your individual plan, so a personalized quote is prepared after a consultation rather than quoted in advance. For surgery, you meet Dr. Husain to discuss your goals and receive a personalized surgical plan, then review the official quote and dates with the surgical coordinator. Accurate surgical prices are not given by phone or email before a consultation, because the surgeon needs to assess you first. A surgical quote is typically all-inclusive, covering pre-operative planning, surgical fees and post-operative care. For medical aesthetic treatments, pricing is confirmed with your provider as part of your treatment plan.

Yes. The cosmetic consultation fee at Allura is $200 plus GST, is non-refundable, and is due when you book your consultation. There is no charge for a second consultation. There is no consultation fee for reconstructive procedures when you have a referral from your primary care provider, and returning patients are generally not charged a consultation fee. The surgical consultation fee is not applied toward the cost of surgery. For medical aesthetic injectable consultations, the fee can be applied to your treatment when you are treated the same day.

Yes. Allura offers financing for both surgical and medical aesthetic treatments through Medicard, a Canadian medical financing provider. Pre-qualification has no impact on your credit score, there are no early repayment penalties, and Medicard pays the clinic directly. Repayment terms range from 12 to 84 months. The first step is to request a private consultation and receive your official quote, then apply online or in the clinic. Once approved, you can schedule your treatment. Financing is available for procedures such as breast surgery, tummy tuck, liposuction, eyelid surgery, facelift and necklift, rhinoplasty and body contouring, as well as treatments such as neuromodulators, dermal fillers, laser hair removal and IPL.

Purely cosmetic procedures are not covered by New Brunswick Medicare, but a procedure that is medically necessary or reconstructive may be partially or fully covered. Cosmetic surgery changes a healthy, normally functioning part of the body based on personal preference. Reconstructive surgery corrects a physical issue caused by a birth difference, disease, injury or medical condition, and aims to restore function or a normal appearance. Procedures that may qualify include breast reduction based on medical criteria and eligibility, breast reconstruction after a mastectomy, and eyelid surgery that affects vision. Whether your procedure qualifies is determined after Dr. Husain assesses you at your consultation. Covered procedures generally require a referral from your family doctor or nurse practitioner, and specific medical criteria may apply.

You do not need a referral to book a consultation, even if you are seeking a procedure that may be covered by New Brunswick Medicare. A referral simply waives the consultation fee and places you on the Medicare consultation waitlist, which is currently 12+ months. Alternatively, you can book a privately paid consultation directly with the clinic, which is typically available within two months. This option allows you to be seen sooner, regardless of whether your procedure may ultimately qualify for Medicare coverage.

A consultation is where you meet your provider, share your goals and medical history, and get honest guidance on suitable options, expected recovery and cost. For surgery, you meet Dr. Husain to discuss your goals and receive a personalized plan, then review pricing and possible dates with the surgical coordinator. To prepare, bring a list of your questions, your relevant medical history and medications, and your referral if you have one. You are never expected to decide on the day. Allura aims to respond to form submissions within 48 hours.

Wait times vary depending on the type of procedure and our current surgical schedule. As a general guideline, cosmetic procedures typically have a wait time of 4–6 months, while medically covered procedures generally have a wait time of 9–12 months following your consultation. The most accurate timeline for your procedure will be confirmed during your consultation. We also offer a cancellation list for patients who would like to be considered for an earlier surgery date. Wait times for medical aesthetic treatments are typically much shorter.

Yes. If travelling to Dieppe is difficult, you can begin with a virtual or phone consultation and send photos ahead of your appointment so your provider can offer initial guidance. An in-person assessment is still needed before surgery. Many people who contact Allura live outside the Moncton area, so the team is used to helping patients plan around travel.

Allura cares for patients from across Atlantic Canada who travel to Dieppe, near Moncton, for treatment. Where possible, the team coordinates your consultation and procedure around your travel, and in some cases both can be arranged to reduce the number of trips. Plan to stay in the area after surgery until your surgeon clears you to travel home. The length of that stay depends on your procedure and is confirmed in your surgical plan.

Yes. Allura serves the bilingual Dieppe and Moncton community, and consultations and care are available in French. If you prefer to communicate in French, let the team know when you reach out.

Surgical procedures at Allura are performed by Dr. Ali Husain, a plastic surgeon and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). He trained in general surgery, completed the plastic surgery program at McGill University in 2002, and completed a post-graduate fellowship in reconstructive breast surgery at the University of British Columbia. His memberships include the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Medical aesthetic treatments such as injectables and laser are performed by the clinic’s nurses, cosmetic nurse injectors and medical estheticians.

Surgery is performed on site at Allura Medical Aesthetics & Surgery in Dieppe, in a facility accredited by the Canadian Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (CAAASF). Allura operates as a Level 3 surgical facility equipped to perform procedures under general anaesthesia, and was the first private clinic in New Brunswick to perform surgery under general anaesthesia. A certified anaesthesiologist is present in the operating room during surgical procedures. The type of anaesthesia depends on your procedure and is confirmed as part of your surgical plan.

Safety at Allura is supported by CAAASF accreditation with regular inspections, staff trained in CPR and basic life support, backup power, emergency protocols, and an anaesthesiologist present during surgery. After your procedure, you receive aftercare guidance and follow-up appointments suited to your treatment, along with post-procedure care instructions to help you recover well. Your recovery plan and follow-up schedule are set by your care team.

Suitability is assessed individually at your consultation and depends on your health, your goals and the specific procedure. In general, good surgical candidates are in stable health and at a stable weight. Smoking and conditions such as diabetes can affect healing and candidacy, so it is important to share your full medical history openly. Age may also be a consideration for certain treatments. Rather than ruling anything in or out in advance, your provider reviews your situation and gives you honest guidance on whether a procedure is right for you.

In many cases, yes. Some procedures, such as a tummy tuck with breast surgery in a mommy makeover, can be combined in a single surgery. Whether combining is appropriate for you depends on your health, your goals and the length and safety of the combined procedure, and is decided with Dr. Husain at your consultation.

Yes. You can book a consultation for a second opinion, or to discuss revising or updating a procedure performed elsewhere or in the past, such as replacing older breast implants. Because revision cases vary widely, Dr. Husain assesses your situation individually and explains what is realistic before you decide anything.

Yes. Allura offers a range of medical aesthetic treatments for people who prefer a non-surgical approach or want to start smaller, including neuromodulators such as Botox® and Dysport®, dermal fillers, fat dissolving injections, laser hair removal, IPL photofacials, laser skin resurfacing, facials and chemical peels. A consultation helps you understand which options suit your goals, and non-surgical treatments can also be financed.
