Fat Dissolving Injections

How It Works

Deoxycholic acid is a prescription injectable medication used to reduce localized pockets of subdermal fat. Deoxycholic acid is naturally found in our bodies and aids in digestion and absorption of dietary fats. When injected into fatty tissue the deoxycholic acid breaks down the fat cell wall so the body can then absorb and eliminate the fat.

Treatments are ideal for those that are close to their ideal body weight and struggling with small, localized areas of stubborn fat, such as:

  • Submental fat (double chin)
  • Jowls
  • Upper arms
  • Front or back bra bulges
  • Abdomen
  • Sides (love handles/muffin top)
  • Lower buttock (banana roll)
  • Above the knees

  • How Many Treatments Do I Need and What is it Like?

Treatment plans are tailored to each individual clients needs. A consultation is needed to assess the desired treatment area(s). Most clients require 2-4 treatments, but some may need up to 6 to achieve satisfactory results, depending on the treatment goals. Treatments are spaced out 4 weeks apart.

  • What are the treatments like?

The treatment results in a mild burning sensation at the site of injection. A local anesthetic is mixed with the injections to aid in comfort. Afterwards it will be tender in the treated area and there will be some redness, numbness, swelling, and possible bruising. Swelling is a good sign as this indicates that the product is working. We recommend scheduling the treatments a minimum of 2 weeks before any social event.

  • What is the cost of treatment?

Pricing ranges depending on the size and area to be treated. A consultation is needed for pricing.
