Neuromodulator Injections

Neuromodulator injections are a popular cosmetic treatment that temporarily relaxes targeted facial muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

We Offer Neuromodulator Injections

At Allura Clinics, we offer these injections to help smooth lines and prevent new ones from forming.

Benefits of Neuromodulators

Neuromodulator injections soften dynamic facial lines and help prevent deeper wrinkles. You can treat existing lines and slow the development of new ones with regular use.

Benefits include:

  • A more relaxed, refreshed appearance
  • Non-surgical treatment with no downtime
  • Results that appear gradually over about two weeks
  • Ongoing improvements with consistent treatments

Over time, regular injections can make your skin look smoother and help reduce how strongly facial muscles pull on the skin. This makes it easier to maintain a rested and youthful appearance.

What Areas Can You Apply Neuromodulators To?

You can treat several areas of the face and neck with neuromodulators. We focus on the muscles that cause lines when you frown, smile, squint, or raise your eyebrows.

Common cosmetic areas include:

  • Forehead lines
  • Frown lines (between the eyebrows)
  • Crow’s feet (around the eyes)
  • Bunny lines (on the nose)
  • Chin dimpling
  • Lines around the mouth
  • Neck bands (Nefertiti lift)

We also treat less common areas like the jawline (masseters) to create a slimmer look.

In addition to cosmetic purposes, neuromodulators can help with:

  • Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)
  • Teeth grinding or jaw tension (TMJ symptoms)
  • Migraine relief

During your consultation, we will review your concerns and help you choose the areas that will give you the best results. You may already have ideas, or you can rely on our team’s guidance.

Does it Hurt?

Most people find neuromodulator injections quite manageable. The sensation is often compared to a quick pinch or bug bite.
No numbing is needed for this procedure, but we use ice on areas that are more sensitive—like the upper lip—to keep you as comfortable as possible. The treatment takes just a few minutes, and discomfort fades quickly after the injections are done. If you’re feeling nervous, you can let us know. We’ll walk you through every step and adjust our approach to help you feel at ease.

Will it Look Natural?

Yes—your face will still look like you, just more rested and smooth. At Allura Clinics, we take a strategic and precise approach to neuromodulator treatment so that your results look natural and balanced.

We target only the muscles that contribute to lines or tension, leaving the rest of your facial movement untouched. This helps maintain your natural expressions while softening areas that may look tired or overworked.

Our team is highly trained in facial anatomy and customizes every treatment to match your features. The goal is never to freeze your face or change how you look—only to refine and refresh it. Most people notice they look more relaxed, but others won’t be able to tell you’ve had anything done.

Brands We Carry

At Allura Clinics, we use two brands for neuromodulator treatments: Botox and Dysport. These products have been tested extensively and are known for their consistent results.

We choose to carry Botox and Dysport because they perform well across a wide range of treatment areas. Both are effective, and the differences between them are minor—mainly in how they spread in the tissue and how fast the results appear.

Some clients prefer one over the other based on how their body responds. During your consultation, we’ll help you decide which brand suits your treatment goals best.

Medical Uses for Neuromodulators

Beyond cosmetic treatments, neuromodulators can be used to manage certain medical issues. These injections work by calming overactive muscles or nerve signals.

We offer neuromodulator treatment for:

  • TMJ symptoms (jaw clenching, tension, or teeth grinding)
  • Chronic migraines
  • Excessive sweating (also known as hyperhidrosis)

These medical uses follow similar procedures to cosmetic treatments, and we take the same care in planning and dosing.
If you’re dealing with any of these concerns, we can explain how treatment works and what results to expect.

Procedure and Timelines

The process begins with a consultation where we assess your goals and the areas you want to treat. Based on that conversation, we create a personalized treatment plan that outlines which muscles to target and how many units you’ll need.

The injection process itself is quick and usually takes about 10 to 15 minutes. You can choose to get the treatment the same day as your consultation, or book it for a later time.

You’ll come back two weeks later for a follow-up. This appointment lets us see how your muscles have responded and make small adjustments if needed. Most clients find this check-in reassuring and helpful.

Recovery

There’s no required downtime after neuromodulator injections. You can return to work or other daily activities right away.
Some mild swelling or bruising at the injection sites is possible, but it usually fades within a few days. We’ll give you aftercare instructions to help reduce the chance of bruising and to protect your results.
While you don’t need to take time off, we recommend avoiding intense workouts, heat exposure, or lying flat for a few hours after your appointment. These precautions help the product settle into the right place.

How Long Do Results Last?

The effects of neuromodulators appear gradually, with full results visible about two weeks after treatment. You’ll notice smoother skin and softer lines as the treated muscles relax.

Results usually last between three to four months. Some people find that their results fade closer to three months, especially if it’s their first time. With regular treatment, muscles may stay relaxed longer over time.

To maintain a consistent look, we recommend repeating the treatment every three months. This timing helps prevent lines from returning and keeps your results looking fresh.

Maintaining Results

To keep your results looking their best, it’s important to stay on a regular treatment schedule and take care of your skin between appointments. Neuromodulators work by relaxing specific muscles, but the overall outcome also depends on how well your skin is maintained.

We recommend:

  • Repeating treatments every three to four months
  • Using medical-grade skincare, especially products that support hydration and firmness
  • Wearing daily sunscreen to protect against sun damage
  • Staying hydrated and getting enough sleep

If you use products like Vivier Ultimage or Skinceuticals Ptox serum, they can help extend the effect of your treatments slightly by supporting the skin’s texture and tone.

Repeating Treatment

To avoid the return of lines and maintain a consistent appearance, most people repeat their neuromodulator injections about every three months. This timing allows the effects to stay steady without gaps in muscle relaxation.

We advise against booking treatments more frequently than every three months. Treating too soon can cause your body to build tolerance to the product, which can reduce its effectiveness over time.

At each follow-up, we review how your muscles are responding and can adjust the treatment plan if needed. Over time, the dosing or placement may change slightly as your skin and facial structure evolve.

Cost of Neuromodulator Treatment

The cost depends on how many areas you treat and how many units are required. We charge by the unit, which allows for a precise and personalized approach.

Neuromodulator pricing:

  • $11 per unit
  • Smaller areas like the upper lip or frown lines can cost under $500
  • Larger combinations or treatments that involve jawline slimming or neck bands can range from $500 to $1,200

Men often need slightly higher doses due to stronger muscle mass, which can affect pricing.  During your consultation, we’ll provide an estimate based on your treatment plan so there are no surprises.

Your Initial Consultation

Your consultation is a chance to discuss your goals with our experienced team and get clear, honest guidance about what neuromodulator treatment can do for you.

You’ll meet with Dr. Husain or one of our trained providers, who will assess your facial structure, answer your questions, and build a personalized treatment plan based on what you want to achieve.
You can book a consultation without committing to treatment that day. Some people prefer to take time to think it over, while others choose to start right away. If you’re ready, we always schedule enough time for treatment during your first visit.

The consultation fee is $75 for new clients and is applied to your total if you decide to proceed with injections the same day. Returning clients and those who’ve already seen Dr. Husain don’t pay a consultation fee.
