Born in the Middle East, Dr. Husain received his medical degree at the Arabian Gulf University, he then proceeded to complete a training program in General Surgery for the following 5 years. In 1996, he was accepted into McGill University’s Plastic Surgery Program. During this period, he received training for a wide range of Plastic & Reconstructive procedures. He also received an award for “Best Reconstructive Research Paper” at the Senior Residents Conference in Seattle in 2001 for a study on “Reconstructive Needs of Breast Cancer Patients with Partial Mastectomy Defects”’.
Graduating from McGill University in 2002, after successfully completing his Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada examination, Dr. Husain moved to Moncton, New Brunswick, where he quickly established a busy and successful practice.
In 2006, Dr. Husain took an educational leave from his practice and went for further specialization at the University of British Columbia in the field of Reconstructive Breast Surgery, where he received his Post-Graduate Fellowship Certificate.
Dr. Husain performs Plastic, Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgery at the Moncton Hospital, Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Sackville Hospital and also at our very own clinic here at Allura Medical Aesthetics & Surgery.
Allura Medical Aesthetics & Surgery was the first private clinic in the province of New Brunswick to perform surgeries under general anesthesia.
