We have recently introduced a few new products to our injectable line and you might be wondering: “What’s the difference?”
This blog has been designed to help answer those questions and help you, our client, make an informed decision with the help of our nurse injector, Catherine Henry.
BOTOX® vs. Xeomin®
BOTOX® and Xeomin® are both brand names for botulinum toxin. They are both prescription medications injected into the muscles to improve fine lines and wrinkles.
BOTOX® is the most well-known botulinum toxin but Xeomin® is also highly effective and safe and both are approved by Health Canada for cosmetic use.
They are two very effective medications. As a highly trained nurse injector, Catherine can help you choose which product is right for you.
As far as results go, you will notice changes within 24 to 48 hours but you will typically see the final results in 10 to 14 days following the treatment. There is no downtime and results usually last 3 to 4 months. This is true for BOTOX® and Xeomin®.
Juvéderm® vs. Belotero® vs. Redensity®
First of all… what are these products?
They are dermal fillers. What exactly are dermal fillers? Made up of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in our body, they are used to help diminish the appearance of facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face.
Now, what is the difference between Juvéderm®, Belotero®, and Redensity®?
Let’s start with Redensity I® and Redensity II® by Teosyal. These are two fillers that have very specific treatment guidelines. Redensity I® is used to help reduce the appearance of fine lines, generate collagen production and gain antioxidant protection in the neck area.
Your eyes express your emotions and feelings. When they are shadowed by dark circles, people will often ask you if you are tired or sad. That can be very frustrating but we have a solution for you! Redensity II® is used to treat under eye circles. It is formulated specifically for this delicate area and can give you dramatic improvement immediately.
Up next are Juvéderm® and Belotero®…
Both of these products are hyaluronic acid based fillers and they both have the ability to diminish the appearance of facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face. Juvéderm® has been on the market for many years whereas Belotero® is much newer to the Canadian market however it has been the #1 choice in Europe for many years. As for their effectiveness, they are both outstanding. The best thing to do is book a consultation with Catherine and she will help you determine which dermal filler would suit your needs best.
